DISPLAY EXPERIMENTATIONS (PART 3)

So, not on the floor, not on the wall. Where else? I decided to try suspending it to see what i will be like.

After i painstakingly nail and pull the lines across two walls, i finally got to hang the pieces. Learning from experience, it was not such a good idea to place the pieces close to one another. Hence i decided to hang the pieces about 7-15cm apart from each other.

The Shadow was pretty interesting too :P

Also to eliminate the distracting background, i decided to use some white bags and melt them like how i did the walls in the dark installation. I chose white as i wanted the colours t stand out and black seems to consume the colours more.

The image below shows the difference between a distracting background, off white background and white plastic background.

With reference to Yayoi Kusama's Obliteration room. Artist uses a white washed room to place focus on her prominent artistic style too!

I also attempted to place the pieces on the wall once again to see if the plastic tectured background helps ?
