COMPRESSED BAGS EXPERIMENTATIONS (PART 2)
According to The instruction PDF. Any kind of HDPE 2 and LDPE 4 plastics would be ideal for the project. Although plastic bags were proven to have the best aesthetic outcomes.
Out of curiosity i attempted to try cubifying milk cartons i had collected and blended from earlier experimentations. The binded well together with heat and compression. Although they do resemble breakfast hash a little :p But i did not have to trim the edges , they compressed and filled up the edges of the mould.
What happens if i do not fold them as per instruction? The folding creates beautiful swirly patterns. What about not folding them?
The texture was pretty rough with occasional air bubbles popping everywhere. Not as smooth as the mull cubes.
However, i do like the thick chunks of colours with the non-folded bags. They remind me of little continents with the shape and patches. Also feels like little play-doh bits stuck together.
