CREATING BOTTLE STRIP CUTTER

Inspired by the bottle strip cutter. I attempted to create my own to get the strings and experiment with them. came across several online tutorials that taught me how to DIY the cutters.

The first prototype created. I attempted to create a holdable cutter. The slots for fitting in the blade was not as tight. The blade kept sliding out and i had to use a nail to hold it in place. As it turns out. The plastic strips created were uneven and it was tough to pull the bottles out as the edges kept getting caught.

The Second attempt:

- used washers and a screw to aid rotation of the bottle and secure the blade from moving.

- Adjustable washer levels to adjust the thickness of cut strips.

- device will be used with a clamp against the table so it does not move.

Now, it's what can i do with the strips :/

Attempted to apply heat to see if i could manipulate the strips to perhaps form some kinda sculptural item that has glass-like qualities?
